I really enjoyed StS and can't knock it - was hands-down a great purchase - but compared to Griftlands, it feels a lot more limited. Griftlands gives you a wealth of opportunities to build before things escalate, but doesn't have the same pressure to min-max compared to StS when climbing. Same can be said for StS though, which typically boils down to ascension and has more room for RNG / lucking-out compared to Griftlands (at least until a few ascension levels where it gets much stricter). If you enjoy deckbuilding and want a game that you will play for thousands of hours and return back again then StS is definitely a more reasonable choice. If you think that art and style are more important, Griftlands is definitel the way to go. Quite honestly, I don't even want to finish grinding prestige levels for Rook's storyline. I personally find another run (after beating all prestige levels) a chore for reasons I outlined in my post here. However, after finishing the stories, there is little incentive to replay the game. The asthetics in Griftland is better to me and is fun, but I would say Monster Train is 1 3 level 2 Op 2 yr. The Last Divinity is so huge it can’t be contained to one area and instead imposes itself over all 3 floors at once. Griftland is a fun game and starting to get into more, but I doubt it's mechanics will ever be as good as Monster Trains. The clans of Hell will need to rally together and support the Wurmkin clan, as a new ominous deity interferes with the ongoing battle between the forces of Heaven and Hell. Griftlands is an outstanding game that is worth more than what the devs are asking for just for the art and three different storylines alone. Monster train is way more addicting than Griftland and has better mechanics. Do you like Slay The Spire If so, you should absolutely try Monster Trains more tactical spin on the deck-building roguelike, which literally layers on new.

Monster Train is a roguelike deck building game with over 250 cards, a plethora of artifacts. about it they say we came for hardcore in the spirit Kill the arrow or Monster train.

I think that people who "don't understand" the hype behind StS have not yet invested enough time to see the differences in replayability and the depth of deck building/variety of runs in StS. Now in turn Griftlands the first bagel card for the studio. The art, characters, dialogue, and story are the reason to play Griftlands. I don't think i will put nearly as many hours in Grift as i did Slay. Griftlands wins easily on story and as a single-playthrough kind of game.
